Dates: June 7 through August 9, 2018

Time: Sign In Begins at 5:00 PM. Pits Close at 5:45, Shooting at 6:00 PM

Equipment: NRA Match or Palma Rifles, NRA Tactical, Military Rifles, F-Class Open or TR Rifles, Sporting Rifles. No muzzle breaks allowed.

Classification: Open, with all needing to perform Pit duty.  

Course of Fire: Each Night 2 Strings Consisting of 2 Sighting and 20 Shots for Record consecutive fired.

June 7 – 300 Yards

June 14– No match

June 21—500 Yards

June 28 – 300 Yards

July 5 – 500 Yards

July 12 – 300 Yards

July 19 – 500 Yards

July 26 – 300 Yards

August 2 – 500 Yards

August 9 – 300 Yards

Cost: $5.00 Per Night. Juniors (under 18) – No cost for shooting.

Awards: The Northwestern Gun Club will recognize Club Champions in the following classes: NRA Sling - Iron Sight, NRA Sling - Any Sight, NRA Tactical, F-Class Open, F-Class TR, Military Rifle, Sporting Rifle, High Senior Overall, High Grand Senior Overall, and High Junior Overall. All Club Champions will be granted full club bragging rights.

The Champions will be determined by the aggregate of the eight highest scores shot at any yardage. There will be no “make up” shooting for rain outs or missed Thursdays.

Picnic: A picnic and award presentation will be held on August 9th, following the completion of shooting. The cost of the picnic will be $15 per attendee, however three night’s shooting fees will be applied to offset this cost. Persons firing less than three times, and all juniors will be charged up to a maximum of $15 for the picnic.

The intent of the Summer High Power Rifle Prone League is to provide experienced shooters practice, new shooters experience and all shooters with camaraderie and a chance to enjoy their club. This event is designed to provide all participants with low key shooting enjoyment. Persons ignoring this intent will be asked to leave.
